INFLUENCER MARKETING: WORLD ANIMAL DAY PEDIGREE 2018

Zurich, September 2018: Whiskas® and Pedigree® are taking World Animal Day on October 4 as an opportunity to promote the human-animal relationship and make the world a better place for everyone, people and animals. Contcept Communication is responsible for media work, video content with script and production as well as influencer marketing for Aktion Animals help people, people help animals.

World Animal Day will take place on 4 October 2018. Whiskas® and Pedigree® have been using this day for years as an opportunity to support projects for animals. This year, in cooperation with Coop, two particularly interesting projects of Swiss animal protection STS will be supported:

The Grizzly project helps elderly people to take their beloved pets with them to retirement or nursing homes. In addition, it supports the home's own animals. The STS platform www.adopt-a-pet.ch helps animals to find a new home. Every day, 44 animals become homeless in Switzerland. Of all Mars pet food brands, such as Pedigree and Whiskas, Mars & Coop will donate 10 centimes from 2 to 15 October 2018. The proceeds will go to these projects. In addition, donations can also be made online from 2 October to 31 October at www.welttiertag.ch.

The Zurich PR agency Contcept Communication supports the project with media work and content marketing, script and production of video content as well as influencer marketing. The former Miss Switzerland Kerstin Cook was engaged as ambassador. She has been working for the Swiss animal protection organisation STS for years. "There are so many dogs and cats waiting in Swiss animal shelters for a home," she says. She also thinks the Grizzly project is great: "Animals enrich the lives of seniors. Especially older people with dementia often respond very well to animals.
